WOW, what a beautiful drawing. I am the most untalented person in the world when it comes to art, and am so impressed by people who can do this, simply amazing!
Hey, thanks for your kind words. I’m not sure I’m on the same page as you regarding talent – maybe having an ‘artistic eye’ for shapes etc, but personally I have only been practising drawing for the last two and a half months, with the aid of youtube tutorials, and I have improved more than I would ever have imagined in such a short space of time!
I think with dedicated practice (i.e, identifying your weaker areas as you go along and try to improve that), alongside tutorials (showing how it’s meant to be done!), most people could improve a lot if they had the motivation or incentive to work at it 🙂 If you’re interested the book ‘ The Genius In All Of Us’ but David Shenk elaborates far more than I ever could on the myths around genetics, talent and intelligence.
Thanks for your reply! I will check out that book and maybe this winter, while I am housebound and buried in snow, I may try my hand a drawing, with instruction, of course, and see what happens! Thanks for the encouragement and for your beautiful art!! Michelle
Love it.. can’t help but wonder what’s luring her eyes upward..
I did about 3months uploading my daily sketches. It’s a great exercise and I got so much confidence and learnt so much in that space of time… it’s put me onto charcoal, digital painting and animation. Now I draw everyday but no necessarily upload everything I work on 🙂
Excellent.
Thanks Joseph

This is amazing! I love the mood. I’m doing a similar challenge, I’m only up to sketch #15! I’m going to follow you for inspiration 🙂
