I’ll keep this sweet
Because I’m sick of it myself,
Of grabbing hands out asking
And dithering musing public oozing
Fragile self-constructed images
The world’s been knocked out of kilter
Seen in sepia through a digital filter
Competing for no prize
Fighting for no cause
We only stand
In order to brag
To those still on their knees.
yes.
Excellent. SD

This has great power and it strikes a chord with me. On some days the world’s fickleness just makes me want to scream…or hide.
Don’t hide away from the world Holly…kick it instead

For in my futility to figure out these glass figures in… this furtive fate of ours filled with glassy figurines
And when I peer into society the the ceramic creations never cease to stop
And tell me…Have you sold any souls to that Fine China shop.

Wow, you do know how to pack a punch. Yes, I can see where you are coming from even some volunteers annoy me because they are more intent on getting their pics in the paper than working behind the scenes.
Very clever poem – powerful too. Although I wanted to ReBlog, I’ve tweeted it instead because I wanted to start the New Year on a positive note.
Those last two lines hit me like a sledgehammer. What an ending! Interesting message with an intense delivery. Excellent! π
